Book Launch

We had a full house for our book launch at Toppings Bookshop in Bath on 12th March (thanks to everyone who came along and many thanks to Toppings for hosting the event so enthusiastically).

We gave an illustrated talk about the process of researching and writing the book and discussed some of our findings. We couldn’t resist adding in a few food nasties such as soft drinks masquerading as ‘healthy options’ for young children.

Toppings and Rough Guides kindly enabled the wine to flow and a selection of local producers kindly donated snacks to keep guests going while we rambled on. Richard Bertinet arrived as we were busily tackling the projector and screen, brandishing a bag of his delicious bread; Olives et Al sent us a box full of their wonderful snacks: habas fritas, olives and spicy nuts; Daylesford Organic gave us a whole Cheddar which was greatly enjoyed; and James’ Chocolates from Bristol provided pudding in the form of their lovely chocolate wafers.
